Funding for the production of An American House screenplay has been provided by an Iowa Economic Development Authority grant.
Screenplay Update: I have written about 95 -100 pages of a 1st draft for An American House. Completed, the screenplay should be about 120 pages.

Artwork: Some of Mr. Bland's artwork could be described as "Folk Abstract," combining abstract concepts with a primitive mix of color and shapes. The artist is also working on abstract paintings with a narrative. Similar to a mural.
Teacher, Writer, Producer, Artist & Photographer Paul E. Bland started writing fiction in the late 1990s. He is a certified HS English and Art teacher. Currently, Mr. Bland is writing screenplays based on his fiction novels.
Mr. Bland completed his undergraduate college work at The City College of New York, in Liberal Arts, English and Studio Art. He holds an MA in English Education, K-12.
In 2016, former first lady Michelle Obama spoke at Mr. Bland's CCNY CUNY graduation ceremony.
